Is anyone going to Normandy tomorrow? I am there for three nights in Benouville and wondering if anyone wants to meet up for a pint? Or more aptly a glass of Vin rouge..
Luckily I have found accommodation 100 metres from Pegasus bridge.. So looking forward to the celebrations and champagne at 00.16am
Regards Chris

Just noticed your home location, another of your townsmen made the escape to Normandy as well http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-war-two/10882005/Bernard-Jordan-the-great-Normandy-escapade.html

My wife kept that story for the local paper. What great story.
Well I had the most amazing four days in Normandy. I met some amazing people with some amazing stories to tell.. I even met John Howards' daughter and Grand daughter at dinner on the second night.
I managed to get up early after the midnight celebrations at Pegasus bridge, and laid a wreath on Queen Red beach at 07.25am just buy the twin Villas.
