I know others have made similar to this.

Yesterday I was about to throw out an old plastic bike air filter box and I thought no I could make a knife out of that.
Last week in the tunnels I realised a knife is handy at times.
So this took me about 2- 3 hours with scrap bits I had plastic blade and wooden handle, it isn't great but good enough see centre model. The other is a Chinese fake I bought on eBay for about £10.

That's great Nige, good one. Could you file down the edges to give it a more sharpened looking edge?

Probably not a good plan. I doubt a hard plastic knife is a good idea, most of our knives are rubber for a reason.

A sharpened hard plastic knife can be pretty bloody lethal, just ask anyone who works for the prison service...

Yes I did consider that, it seems quite similar to an airsoft knife I bought from China but a better shape and it is staying blunt. I may even round the tip off a bit.

To be honest if you have one just tap the person with your hand and say you are dead no need to take it out.

From the air filter boxes I`ve seen the plastic is fairly flexible so as long as the end is rounded it shouldn`t cause a problem. Even with it at a point I doubt whether there would be any damage, personally I`d run the blunt edge across their throat just for effect :good:

Oddball got it right, don't ever put a knife near anyone's face or neck - even if its rubber. I've seen cuts to the face from over enthusiastic use of a plastic knife (not at a WW2 game I hasten to say) and beside small risk of injury it just asking for a very negative reaction from the recipient. By definition they will have been caught by surprise so a reflex parry or blow will be returned at worst, a string of abuse at best.

True but down this end of the country we airsoft naked except for a feldmutze so abuse means nothing to us :good:

My thought is I could carry a real metal knife for show but at some sites these days public walk on, maybe they use a public right of way or just stray on. The guns are one thing but lets face it just toys but a real knife these days
We all know what 5h1t that can stir up!

Take travelling to a game by train for instance as some did last week, well you could end up going through metal detectors and have it confiscated not to mention the delay you could get explaining things.

Here is Aintree they recently did just that they set up walk through metal detectors at my local station, not permanent but you would never know where next just like a speed camera.

Tapping the side (flat part) of the blade onto the forarm/shoulder/thigh is well enough for a knife kill, no need to go slicing and dicing, even a rubber knife can cause a nasty burn mark!
