well, I could use one as VC, post WW2 generic commie rebel and possibly eastern front WW2 :good: . But knowing my luck, I'm but one of only a handful of people with those same interests.

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

"how solid? solid like bear...made of kalashnikovs"

But is it solid enough for this....

Although this isn't the craziest thing done with ppsh's

although this is far preferrable to combining a bottle of vodka and an airsoft ppsh!

Well that's the winner then. Any aeg that can take someone sitting on it has my approval! Even looking at some the wrong way twists the bodywork.

I'm in there. Not too active but keeping an eye out for new games we can get to (and my mate is still looking for his waterbuffalo! )

Yes definitely was as you would not really think to test an airsoft that way, this was the thing I pointed out a few weeks ago when I posted the videos here, the strength in design. I am not sure how they managed it without the bolt through the handgrip like the original.

I have the dubious honour of being the first in Scotland to be shot with one in a skirmish. Even though the bugger was on my team!!!

I was using my home made one agin at the weekend and it works better than the new AK I also took to the site.
However I am in the market for a second drum mag so would like to see some clear pictures of the 2 makes that will be available with the odd dimension would help as I want to know if they have made it to take a real PPSH41 mag dimensions.

Heres a few pics of my HP drum mag that might help,I've no idea how they compare to the real thing.

Thanks that is very close to how mine turned out the only diference seems to be they may have changed the M14 airnozzle to a longer version that is more central to the piston, maybe an AK one.
The 4.5cm is identical to a real one, the guide bar/lock bar on the back should be 6.5mm wide.
I think I could convert one of these to fit, is the mechanism reliable?

If you have a chance it would be nice to see the inside :good:
Thanks for the photos.

Okay, a wee 'so far' review of my HP PPSH. First thing is, the drum mag has a wee problem fitting. The plate you remove to load it needs about 1mm or so filed off the top edge or else it stops the feed nozzle from marrying up with the feeder from the mag. Easy sorted, and takes about 2 mins with a decent file. This seems to be fairly common, with 2 of 3 mates who bought the gun having the same issue.

The G36 hop? Well, while I had heard this was supposedly lifted directly from another manufacturer with a good reputation for nice hop units (can't remember who it was supposed to be though!!) I am inclined to disbelieve that. The hop adjusting wheel on mine was so free moving, it would be hard to imagine the hop NOT adjusting itself due to the vibtrations from firing the gun. Replaced it with the hop out of my (not currently working) JG G36, and it's now far more stable. Not heard anyone else complain about the wheel, but have heard people say the hop rubber is of crap quality.

Didn't get the chance to actually use it in a skirmish last sunday as I hadn't a file with me to adjust the mag!! :slap: So, still no idea how well it shoots, but at least the general build quality issues are few, minor, and easily sorted.

Ok, the section of the front 'plate' needing filed is the bit closest to the main body of the mag in the pic. As you can see, it's so little needs filed you can hardly notice I've done so. The inside 'BB well' is not huge, and could if desired be extended to hold a few more beebs. Hope the pic shows you what you need to see Oddball. You will also notice that the internals do not sit horizontal, but at a slight angle to the right as we look at it.
