Hi Guys,
Bought some real steel wooden parts for my S&S M1 Garand to replace the resin handguards.
Luckily it only need a small amount of shaving off the front collar for everything to fit together. The imitation plastic on the stock is a very similar match to the new wooden parts (that I got off ebay)
Looks very nice Webby. Definatly considering a similar thing for my Garand project, with using a wooden M14 stock. We shall see.
Only snag is M14 wooden stocks are super expensive, and you need to cut them down, and if you buggered it up you're in a world of pain!
True. You can get a few cheap ones (ACM) so i might invest...its just the the quality of the wood thats a concern. got my real Garand stock, which i think i can cut it away as i have a plan..but well you dont get 2nd chances.
I LIKE !!
can a socom m14 be used for conversion ?
I should think so Phil, you'll just need a longer outter and inner barrel for it.
@ BigUK ACM 1s got discontinued ages ago unfortunately, otherwise I would have got 1. I think Cyma do 1, but you have to get the gun with it too.

Here you go! I did post up about this on the U.S players forum a while ago. Almost tempted to get one myself.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
That be the 1, cheers Heide
No worries mate. I'd love to see more players using rifles!

Me too, US squads should be full of M1s

Couldn't agree more, the Garand was a superb rifle as well (I've fired a real one!). Also German and Brit squads should have more K98's and Enfields! I just wish the Chinese would see the potential market for these guns. Until we see affordable rifles, people will continue to buy the available smg's.

They are on Gunner airsoft..They are out of stock atm..but they definatly had them in stock a week ago when i looked.
