Evening all! I've just discovered the sten mk5 produced by shoot and scoot and I am looking for some reviews on the quality of the gun. I understand it's an agm sten conversion so should shoot just as well as the original.
Does anyone own this gun? I'm a big fan of the mk5 and would love to own one.
Regards,
Ralph
I own one! It's absolutely great as a shooter, and on top of that is a fantastic looking gun. Almost indistinguishable from an original. I shal endeavour to put up some photos when I can.
Highly recommend getting one - it'll be money well spent indeed! Have a bit of patience and Warren can always deliver the goods.

They do look pretty great. I'm still a little weary of the price and production time but I'm certainly considering one.

I'm actually building a Sten conversion kit to make an ASG Sten MKII into a MKV with little/no permanent modification. Thinking of selling them if there is some interest. Would allow you to use it as a Sten MK... (I have a few more in the pipeline) for games where the MKV wouldn't be suitable.
I'll hopefully get it finished next week...

Dom_e that sounds really cool, hope you can do it.
Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.
A bridge too far

I'd certainly be interested. Please post your results when you finish.

Hi mate,
Warren's Sten Mk V is the most accurate on the market. Also, mine shoots really well too, just having had a new hop put in and a new barrel. Here is a photo of mine that warren has made.
The foregrip is also an accurate representation of a genuine one, rather than the nonsense being sold by SoF! Those foregrips are rather oddly misshapen, so do not be fooled into buying one! The pistol grip is also accurately positioned, as is the stock- so well worth the money.
Whilst I appreciate these are costly, it's certainly more fun than a deactivated version, and an excellent wall hanger should you wish to display it. Warren can do these with or without the foregrip I believe, just at the request of the customer, but not sure what he has in stock at the minute so I'd always recommend giving him a phone first before you order, to see what he has in.
I'd be interested to know how you are making an accurate MkV without any modification, Dom_e. Without moving the trigger housing mechanism the pistol grip will be in the wrong place surely?
Anyway - I'm pleased as punch with my MkV, full wood and metal with some original parts. Lovely bit of kit!
Oh - Warren also has masses of 37 patt webbing and battledress, so if you're after anything give him a ring - he'll probably have it in!

That is a nice looking gun. Like I say the only sticker for me is the price... And the wife
