what impression are you aiming for Brit or Yank.
the agm sten is a basic Chinese gun but still good value for money and the ICS grease gun is a top end gun, very different products despite the real steel guns similar design brief so a better question money no object is do you want to go Brit or Yank?
armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

a fast fire rate from the ics gun may not be a good idea when there's usually a 200rd ammo limit on m ost ww2 games,
plus theres no midcap or lowcaps for it and it takes a special grease gun only battery.
nice as the ics grease gun is it could leave with the feeling of a one trick poney when it comes to compatbility with mags and batteries, plus rather anoying being only allowed to fill only half a mag and fire semi auto only (which it cant) as in the agm mp44.

theres also the ares version of the grease gun

Down to Kit Brit or Yank answer that and I think that will answer your choice. Not much point having a high end Grease gun if you intend to do Brit. ![]()

very very happy with my sten as well
just remember if you get one to use threadlock on all the screws before you use it, mind you, I tend to do this on all my AEG's
Stens are all good. If you are going to go for Brit then the greasegun isn't even an option.
hey sonshine, I have had to lug around, deploy and attempt to fight with the 30. Cal all on my own.
We who have lugged tripods over one shoulder, Guns over another and spare ammo dangling wherever we can fit it have earned, through sweat and tears, the right to use the moniker 'support gunner'. ![]()
actually, ironicly enough, I've decided to get the s&t ppsh 41. It's full metal and wood, has a high cap mag, and has blowback! I'm gonna be using it for support gunning.
I'm confused you said you wanted to go for brit? Also a ppsh isn't really a support weapon...
Insert Something Witty and Profound.
I find this whole thread to be confusing and, totally pointless! Have the school's broken up for summer holidays already?

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
I think someone hasn't really caught on to what WWII airsoft is about.
i.e. it's about the whole impression.
What I'm hearing right now is an open-day airsofter talking.
I find this whole thread to be confusing and, totally pointless! Have the school's broken up for summer holidays already?
Ditto. I read this thread the other day and had to come back to it, to see if it went in the direction I thought it would. My suspicions have been confirmed.
The only advice I can give to the OP is to pick up a WW2 history book and start reading FFS. Yith has hit the nail on the head.
Heh, daft thing is I used to collect the "whole impression" when I was an Open-Day-Airsofter as well...
When I did Stargate I had a P90, an MP5 or a suitably massacred M4... with M9 sidearm and correct green jacket and correct headgear/webbing... etc...
... pick up a WW2 history book and start reading FFS.
Come on guys, you were young once! (I probably was too but it was so long ago I can only go by photographic evidence)
A quiet roll of the eyes is sufficient, no need to be rude to minors, on this forum anyway - encourage or enthuse by all means otherwise no need to post!

Fair enough CW, I did go over the top, but it does get a bit frustrating. Even in school at the age of 12 I knew what different national soldiers looked like in WW2 and what weapons they carried, and the difference between an smg and a support gun....and that was without the huge amount of info available on the net. ![]()
No worries. It takes all sorts - a good many users and readers of this forum are just interested in gunz and have never even attended a WW2 airsoft game; I happen to have attended a lot of airsoft games and am not that interested in guns at all!
Anyhoo, it was disparaging remarks to minors I was most concerned about - there is some appalling behaviour over on a re-enacting forum that I wouldn't like to see over here (where positivity and inclusiveness is the norm
) ![]()

Fair do`s CW, especially the point about people`s fixations with the guns alone.
I`ll approach it with a sympathetic ear this time....

So you`ve decided to do a Russian impression, here`s the two sections which may help you on collecting the rest of the kit to go with the gun

Although I`m not sure if there are any Russian front games coming up for you to attend in the near future ? ![]()
im going to get the dboys kar98 springer and set myself up as american artillery division..

Should always be nice to new people, because they have a funny habit of turning into regular people, and remember who was helpful and who was less than helpful.
