That's fine Martin. I've seen people use Berettas and Glocks at WW2 events. Pistols are in a holster most of the time anyway, so no problem. As long as there's no rails or stuff hanging off them (like lasers ), most pistols are fine, with the exceptions of stuff like Desert Eagles, 93R's and other obviously modern ones.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
A 1911 is always a good choice -
* Used by Allied and Axis
* Can be used for many scenarios covering the last 100 or so years
* Can be had in full metal as either Springer or GBB for fairly cheap
There's also supposed to be a cheap Browning out 'soon' ................
