Would the skeleton versions be for lipo fitted only?

I'd be interested in a skeleton stock for my Viva.

Problem with the Mk V is that the pistol grip means the trigger is moved forward in relation to the back of the tube (and/or the receiver tube is longer - not sure which) - so it's not a simple mod to make a Mk II into a Mk V.
Maybe a pistol grip and butt that can be attached to the back.

The real steel skeleton stocks will fit the Viva with the aid of a couple of washers. Seen it done and it looks cool.

Hmm... I've tried it and it looked like it would never work and would be a bit shit.

They must have tried it a different way.

Wouldnt mind converting my mkii AGM sten into a mkV, especially as we do airlanding for PBI. How would you go about the front end too, the barrel/front iron sight is different.

That's the easy bit... a sight would probably just slide on... Though you'd have to remove the old sight. Whatever you do this is going to be a non-reversible conversion.

So Webby, keep your sten as a MkII as it's more universally used. Not even airlanding had them before 1944.

The outer barrel screws on the front, so a replacement could be made for that, especially if you want to be able to fit a bayonet.

If/when this comes to fruition, does anyone have recommendations for Lipo and charger to convert a stick version?

I have more or less managed to fit a real steel skeleton stock to the AGM Sten some time ago.

Would also be interested in dogfaces stocks. Hopefully pictures will be up soon :good:

Sounds good, don't currently have a sten but am fancying one, and I like the skeleton stock. Whats the difference between the Viva and AGM(other than price!)?

Hi

The price will be £35 posted to the GB I'll need to work out international postage depending on the country and urgency.

There will be a weeks lead time as I am making them to order at present but can manufacture batches of about six at a time.

Ok... I need to check to see if it will fit on my viva. Best way is to see if a standard AGM one will fit. I can try that tomorrow, hopefully!

If that's the case then I'll probably want to blue it to match the viva rather than paint it. Is there any difference in price for a bare metal one so I can blue it myself?

The only difference is that a bare metal finish needs a bit more care welding and some extra finishing on the inner face. Tell you what ask me again when I have made a few so that I can perfect my technique.
