Long time no see, although I attended the very first WW2 event way back at the end of 2006 I have been unable to do any airsofting fpr a while due to other commitments. Anyway I am now getting back in the saddle and having dusted off my venerable G33/40 I had a thought. I really dont know how powerful this gun is and am a little apprehensive about turning up at a local open day all kitted out wearing my full Gebirgsjager kit only to find my gun banned.
Now when I originally bought my G33/40 it had the pre-restricted japanese bolt in it and was doing about 240fps - a little unworkable for a bolt action as you can imagine. Anyhow I ordered the G-version bolt for the Tanaka K98 (the mechanics of the 2 guns are exactly the same I just have a shorter barrel) and after a bit of fiddling installed it fine. Anyhow ever since then she has fired like an absolute beast and gives me truly excellent range on green. Does anyone know the actual fps of an unrestricted G33/40 or K98? I have 2 littl restrictor plugs for the bolt but dont know what fps they will give either! Anyone done a set of tests with these or does anyone have a chrono handy to just test their own gun?

Unrestricted, it could be anywhere between 400 and 500 on 0.2g BB's depending on the Gas used, and the ambient temeperature.
