Stripping is fairly simple, two large screws on the underside of the trigger gaurd, whip them out. Theres a horizontal spring steel bar(or clip), with a little knob that holds the end cap on, depress it and slide the endcap off. Slide the stock band off, top should come off at that, and the rifle will come apart. From there if you want the hop/barrel setup out, theres a screw on the undersight of the rear sight you'll need to undo, and a pin on the underside of the receiver, knock it out, and bobs your uncle aslong as you've removed the outer barrel - theres a grubscrew for that too! To remove the hop unit and barrel form its plastic(very fragile btw, take care), you'll find a little grubscrew on the inside of the brass threaded part on the base of the hop unit. You will also need to remove the arm that applies hop, its just a simple screw on the side of it. Assembly is the reverse, but take great care in tightening the grub screw that holds the hop in, and the front screw on the trigger gaurder, as overtightening them WILL snap the plastic carrier.

Gas and ammo depends purely on the setup, temperature and site. I personally have my rifle setup to fire at 450fps(measured with .2's) on green gas or propane, using madbull .4's. Power is adjustable - alot of folk don't know it, but it is, i have another post regarding this elsewhere. If its a cold day i can turn the power up, or hot, turn it down, rather than having to carry 2-3 different gasses.

Best gun kits are available, I personally don't have one in my kar98. I did have one in a tanaka M700, and found it to be a bit iffy to be honest. What I've done with my kar98, is take a PAX/Kingarms M700 hop unit, which lets a tanaka M700 use a VSR hop rubber and barrel. It requires some modification to fit, but it shoots pretty damned well when it does, and fps consistency is good. My setup is a 555mm 6.03 PSS10 VSR barrel and a 9ball airseal hop rubber.

4. There isn't alot in the way of parts with this. The kar98 requires a specific barrel(although m700 ones will fit, AICs length will do the job) if you keep the stock hop unit, or use a BGS unit.

Just finished fitting a genuine stock to mine, aswell as genuine safety, rear sight and bolt release;

Hope this is of some help!
