Forgive this (probably) daft question BUT do RSOV (Chinese) mags work in TM Tommy guns? Reason is I want to get a reasonable number of low cap mags and TM ones are £16 whereas the Chinese ones are £6 cheaper...
Also do you chaps think that the Chinese M1928 kit will work on the TM?
Finally internal gubbins off a cheap Chinese Bolt action job and a Denix Lee Enfield-feasible??????

well the TM ones work in the chinese Thompson, so i assume they'd work the other way round.
the new M1928 kit hasn't been released yet, has it?
and as for the MP001/Denix Enfield conversion, that's my next project after the couple i'm working on now, so i hope it's feasible!
Yes they do. The ACM guns are a straight copy of the TM. I have the 'official' version and its fine with T bits.
I can also recomend the wood kit from RSOV - looks lovely and room for a big fat battery in the stock ![]()

well thats all good then
thanks ![]()
I will be purchasing a RSOV thompson cant wait hope its as good as the tm one.
If its passed 9 there is a 95% chance im pissed.
There not bad, you will need to change the conector on the battery lead if you want to use bigger batterys, the battery that comes with it is not to hot & has a mini connector

In fact the tamiya large battery conectors work out at £1.89 from maplin, you still end up with a nasty thin wire in the stock, you could replace the whole lead with somting like this

works out at $6 which is just over £3 for a quality lead,

Changing the connector is a doddle - snip the wires and plug then into a new larger or smaller one.
In my opinion, the stock wiring on the Cybergun M1A1 is fine - it's exactly the same quality as the replacement ones you can get on eBay. Also the stock loom uses a small connector into the main body and changing this will cause you problems - the small connector will recess nicely into the main body and allow you to fit a wooden replacement stock but the larger won't.
If you want to change all the connectors to large type, I'd strip the gun down (very easy now I've been shown what to do) and move the stock-body connector into the body with a bit of extra wire.
It's amazing what you can learn just by trying to change the bl**dy stock and ending up with the whole gun in bits...
