How on earth did you fix the gears so you got them working again? The insides are rubbish?
Lt. Morris Schaffer: "Second rate punk," eh?
Major John Smith: Sorry. All I could think of on the spur of the moment.
Lt. Morris Schaffer: Thanks, that makes it even worse.
My TOP MP40 Hicaps have TM Uzi Hicap guts. Easy - and very worthwhile - job to do.

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. "Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Yes I built 3 Top MP40 mags from Uzi's tonight and it took 45min from start to finish for all three. One tip I can pass on is if you are using a Hi cap Top Mag reuse the spring tube instead of a piece of plastic tube it works great.
