Sorry if this is somewhere else but didnt see it.
For those of you On Arnies Airsoft or thinking about signing up there is a current thread apparently at the behest of Jing Gong asking people to vote on what they want them to make.
It looks fairly genuine ive cast my votes for MG42 and Webley, as they seemed the only decent choices to me however stirling and Enfiled were tempting
So take a look

Here hoping you never know.
armoury. Sten lanchesteralike thompson m1a1 thompson 1928 Garand (m14 S&S) 1911 Browning HP Tanaka M10 stg 44 mp40 x 2 tanaka k98 MG42 (AK IN PLASTIC BODY) MG34 (ak in plastic body as well) Luger broom handle latex bayonet latex E-tool
Interesting but only in the fact that the thread starter reckons that the winning guns will be touted around to JG which must mean he has some form of contact details for them, be nice to find out if he has.
As to which guns I`d like, and the fact that the chinese seem to rely on cloning for the most part, I`d like to see them crossbreed a vsr/ mp001 with the Dboyi K98 to eliminate the shell ejection setup. If they did decide to make something totally new then I`d have to go for a Lee Enfield. One other option would be an off the shelf Garand...then most sides would be able to field rifles instead of a glut of SMGs'
I also voted for the MG42, as well as the browning HP. Both would be nice but I think we may be a bit optomistic. My original vote was for a Mosin Nagant but that didn't get past stage 1. I just hope to god the Tavor doesn't win, it makes the AUG look beautiful.
See I'd be with the MG42 but for the fact that if they did one, and it was cheap, it may be a little odd to see 10 of them at a CIA game rather than the current 1 or 2 (which is about the ratio I'd expect).
Now if they did a BAR on the other hand ....
(actually I'd still like to see a DP28 and a PPSh41 but thats just a dream I suspect )

Trust me, lugging a 42 around is *not* much fun. It's big, its heavy, and its bloody awkward to carry.
Out of all those options, the one that makes the most sense to me is the humble Browning HP, as i could be used by both commonwealth forces and German forces. Rifle wise, gone with Lee Enfield, purely cos there was no "decent, VSR based K98" option on there
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Moisin Nagant isn`t a bad option as there is one on the market already albeit expensive, the chinese could clone it at a fraction of the price
... and hopefully make it actually work too

Voted for the Browning HP and the MG42 (even though I'm building one anyway!). Affordable rifles would be nice as well.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Thats exaclty what I suggested actually; take the KTW one, make it work and sell it for a sensible price.
i went for Enfield and Webley. There's really no point to another (and cheaper) MG42, as we'd just end up with a disproportionate number of them, especially with the lack of a mass-produced Bren to oppose it.
From looking at the latest JG offering I wouldn`t hold your breath on a decent WW2 model. The amount of time and effort they must`ve devoted to knock up the ugly Ikazuchi, they could`ve made a garand or sorted out a K98

A heads up re the voting. that thread was started in response to a user called Vander75, I believe. He seems to be either a chinese retailer or exporter. I voted for the enfield and mg42, primarly as I am tired of th endless M4's and such. vander 75 seems to have the ear of JG, but sorry if I am a little skeptical, the main votes were for modern weapons. Hopefully the cloners may notice which way the wind blows and start coming up with more period weapons.
The blokes is called Vanderer 74. He has a few threads running on this.
