What type of spring do I need to bring a VSR down below 350 fps? Any links would be helpful too.

Cheers, Moss.

Pretty sure you'd be wanting an m110 or 120 for that.

EDIT: Found this link for a list of springs and rough fps http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/32 ... -work.html:

Cheers for that, I think I'll be going for an M110, unless anyone has any other suggestions?

I found an M100 brings the S&S Enfield down to ~360fps. Think it's the lowest I could get without cutting the spring.

Ah I see, well I'll go with an M90 in that case, at the end of the day I'm not looking to "snipe" with it, just as long as the BBs make it out of the barrel! Springs are cheap enough so if it shoots particularly low I can always swap it out for another. I'd rather shoot a bit low than too high and not be able to play.

Obviously the barrel has its play too. In both my rifle builds I've used 6.03 barrels and m90 springs and my Enfield has sat comfortably at 340 and my carcano 5 fps more :-):

Well I'm not sure on my barrel diameter but I don't imagine it'd be much different, I'll see if it says anything in the manual. Either way, M90 it is.
Cheers for the help guys, Moss.

If going for a known brand, opt for an M90. If you buy cheaper Chinese ones, go for the M100 install it and leave the gun cocked for a few days/week to "wear" the spring. The cheapo Chinese springs aren't as well tempered and will loose power with use, so buy slightly higher then required and "wear it in" to drop it until at a stable power.

I used Laylax PSS10 VSR springs in the Enfields, really good quality.

I've found an SHS M90 for a reasonable price, how are they on quality? I'm pretty sure I've heard of them before. I'll look into a Laylax M90 if SHS aren't any good.

Cheers again, Moss.
