IS it possible to convert VSR mags for use in the Garand? as everywhere has run out of the shotgun mags.

I think they'll be far too long.

There's been some luck with cutting down M14 midcaps, but that's all I am aware of.
is that a complicated job?

Dunno not done it... From what I've seen it's not as cheap/convenient/nice as the shotty mags.

Looks ok for a G43 conversion, may look odd in a M1 though ....

I used the same method to cut down mags for my Garand but cut alot more out of them so they protrude less, only about 1/2 an inch. They hold about 14 rounds which I think is the same as the shotgun mags, but the mid caps are obviously more expensive each.
I have ordered some of the G&P shotgun mags, that should work..
