My understanding was that the grub screw hop fix was as simple as inserting the screw and adjusting it.
However, I've inserted the screw, but it stops in the hole short of doing anything.
Is there something else that needs doing?
The gun's about a year old, and didn't come with the mod fitted - I'm getting it ready for sale as I don't use it.
Might be that it wasn't tapped all the way through in the factory.
Have you got a Tap you can try extending the thread with?
Might solve the problem.
It's a good thought. I'll look later.
I already have a buyer for it, even without the working hop. I'll see if he wants me to try.
And yes I do have the taps needed.
I appear to have found the problem.
I took the inner barrel out, and found the hole IS tapped right through. It seems as though the inner barrel is secured a fraction too far into the breech block, causing the hop grub screw to foul on the breech end of it, stopping the screw going in.
I moved the inner barrel a tad closer to the muzzle, and now the hop screw works.
Not had a chance to test the operation yet, but it's now sold (new owner knows I've done this).
