Can anyone recommend a good (i.e. cheap) source of Enfield wood bits ?
I have been scouring Ebay and it's looking like the fat end of £100 quid to get hold of a stock, foregrip and upper wood work. I am sure I read here some time ago that about 50 quid was reasonable, but my pricing might be out of date.
I have followed a couple of links off some of the older threads but haven't had much luck, so does anyoen have any up to date links for bits.
Ta.
Search "le enfield" on ebay just now. there's several stocks and wood bits up at the mo.
Thanks for the Worldwide Arms link. I have scoured their site (obviously badly) and haven't managed to come across that !
And thanks for the brilliant ebay link. Hurray for people who don't spell things right on ebay ![]()
Yeah, I tried to find it the long way, but came up empty. Fortunately, I kept a direct shortcut.
Might be worth checking if there's a reason it can't be found another way.
I'll give them a ring and see if they are still selling them then post the outcome here.
I do have another Enfield related question though. Given my spastic ability with airsoft weapons, there is no way in God's green earth that I am going to try this project myself, so I am outsourcing the task to a friend who is also a member here. But I am curious. So how do you attach the butt to the foregrip without the use of the breach housing that comes with the real steel version ?

With great difficulty ![]()
No, seriously, people have made epoxy or custom-machine alli' adapter blocks, or just bloody long screws covered over with modelling putty!
I've bought a No4 top-piece from that eBay chap only last week!

Nige (scaleyback) has done a couple (icluding mine
) with big screws and epoxy, he would be the man to ask for pointers.
