Every Tanaka on Green fires "hot" (unless restricted) as the Enfield is GAS powered it too can fire lower just use a lower power gas?!?

Getting lower powered gas is now, I understand, becoming a problem. 134a is no longer commonly available?

*sigh*

Maybe people don't hit anyone with a rifle because the fps cap is too low? So the bullet goes as fast as they do in the Matrix and you can just dodge them?
Educate me on this reason? :ghey:

:good:

Actually I think it's mostly because people don't have their sights set up properly. I know after spending a good amount of time sorting the sights on my SMLE I did start to hit my target a lot more.

I would like that Enfield but why is it only in America?
Can nothing be done in the UK anymore? Shameful and frustrating.

Well, I've only ever used a spring action rifle (MP004 Sniper rifle I bought years ago when me and my mates had bb-wars in a field.) so gas would be a learning curve for me.
On that note, I'd like to say you guys are really helpful on here!! Keep up the friendly work. Maybe one day I'll meet some of you Vets. 8)

Anyone going to Crete event? :?:

I've fiddle with hop on my rifle just with the external switch thingy but it doesn't really do much?
What can hop do? I think that was about 350+fps?

Thanks guys :good:

some form of restriction on gas gun's is always possible so i'd not let that put me off ,the problem of shooting people with a boltie is a matter of discipline in using the sights, you cannot use it like a hose pipe that you bring onto the target like an aeg,you really have to aim every shot, it becomes a matter of muscle memory after an hour or so i've found, i can't hit a dam thing earlier in the day but before lunch i have my eye in and score good hits.

Pride of England a little while ago put a thread up and I think he used Butane gas? Not sure you will have to do a search.

134a has indeed been replaced by 144a but it is still deemed a low power gas.

At Gunman events people will be looking to get 370

LOL, I think mine do 330 and 310 respectively. Bugger the range, I just want:

i) BBs to come out of the barrel when I pull the trigger.
ii) the BBs to fly fairly straight so I can hit things.

As Yith says, making sure your sights actually point where the BBs are going to go is big help.

As for the OP, there aren't any cheap WW2 bolties available in general as there just isn't the demand compared to other types of airsoft guns. You don't NEED UKARA to buy one, but you do need a valid defence under the VCRA, such as joining a re-enactment group. Re-enactment groups are quite good at spotting people who only join them to buy guns. UKARA is far less painful and as mentioned above, if you don't want to register with a normal site, then you can do it via Josh/Gunmans WW2 games, who also rents/lends out kit.

Cheers

my no4 is an early build and the magazines are a little fragile ,i wouldn't want to put you in the position of breaking it, however I'm at the Crete game and would be happy to loan either my sten or Thompson, not a number 4 i grant you but it's a gun to get you going at a first event .

Wait a year and some Chinese firm will probably clone it.
