Havent you been getting out much Gaz

Following today's meeting:

Agreed on War and Peace (20-24th July) and the Victory Show (3-4th September) to be the major events of the year with as many members attending as possible along with the largest displays covering 30m x 30m (or equivalent non-square area).

By modularising the display it will be possible to attend a variety of smaller events with a smaller display and fewer members.
General consensus was that local events should be given priority to reduce time wasted in travel, so Detling and Fortress Wales won't be attended in 2011.

Other shows for attendance are Donington with a smaller display as it is the week after Victory. Bushey Hall (week after Hauptmann Holt) is a possibility along with Bunker Bash and Evesham, depending on the dates which are yet to be announced. None of this precludes attending other events on an ad-hoc basis, depending on member's availability/interest.

CW will organise information display boards ready for our first show.

Wherever possible we will request an island display, arranging a 360 degree display, giving the public something to see from all angles.

As public battles take so much time as well as removing resources from the display we won't participate as a general rule, although we will be sensitive to show organiser's requests.

The core group are happy to take on guest members (by mutual agreement) either as a taster to join the group permanently or as an introduction to show reenacting or to join the group in a less committed fashion.

The scenario will continue to represent a rear echelon near Anzio with vehicle maintenance, domestic life (cooking, washing, sleeping), armoury/weapon maintenance, command, wireless telegraphy, fuel dump, medic station and field police as the 'modules' from which a display can be built.
