New thread re our first show of the year
Royal Gunpowder Mills
Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May
(May 2nd is a bank holiday)
I've asked for a 30m x 30m pitch, detached from other exhibitors, so allowing the public 360 degrees viewing.
We can have an open fire but it must be raised above the ground in some sort of metal firebox. We could use an ammo box/jerry can/barrel raised up on bricks.

Attending:
CW
Dave
Keef
John
Del - Unable to attend, daughter No.2's Birthday
Gaz
Ian
Andy
Martin
Any word on Ade & Aimee?

I'm sure Keef sed there going..all so the new fire (cooking) frame will be perfect
just need Gaz to nock up a 2 by 4 tray.

2 by 4? Are we catering for the whole show?

It looks awesome CW...its made out of them metal rodes, what we made a frame out of at the last show but all cut to shape and welded..thought it would be best to make one that can be used at any show.. ![]()

A quick reminder that it is a requirement of the show organisers that all attendees of the show must have suitable PLI and have the policy available on request.
Therefore, since we don't have a group insurance policy, the simplest and cheapest solution is AFRA membership.
I'll do the risk assessments prior to the show so that ain't a problem.

So when are we getting there ?

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Nice! I've got a pair of wooden pigeon hole/shelving units - I'll put one on my table as an organiser for bits and bobs so there will be a spare for paperwork etc. elsewhere.

So when are we getting there ?
Thats one thing we haven't discussed yet Andy..

Heh, there aren't any event details or exhibitor packs available yet (if there ever will be)
but I do know the latest time on site is 11pm on Friday!
Perhaps I'll compile a list of questions and tackle it that way...

In April 1944, the elements stationed in Italy returned to 16th Divisional HQ , resulting in the entire 16th SS-Pz.Gren. Division being united for the first time. Although the conflict in Hungary continued, the advance of the Allies in Italy required further attention. The US 5th and British 8th Armies had broken out of the Anzio-Nettuno Bridgehead, in May and had advanced along the Liri Valley.
Axis forces everywhere had been forced north 150 miles, to the Arno River zone. The retreat halted, and a new fortified position was established, through the passes and mountains of the Apennines, known as The Green Line (Gothic Line). This defensive line was 15 to 30 miles in depth, north of the Arno River, from the Ligurian Sea, incorporating Pisa, Bologna and Florence, continuing to the Adriatic coast.

Just a small wright up of dates and places names if you click on to the map you'l find the 16th RF-SS just above Pisa.
