It might be time to put the pressure on them and mention that most of the UK WW2 airsoft community are waiting on this order and will never order from them again if it doesn't come through.

Might be a few years late for that threat to work. :giggle:

Well he promised me everything would be posted by now. I've not heard back from him since though so I can't confirm either way. :slap:

I really do think it's worth another email to the effect of what Steve said Rich. If he gets bad publicity on here and on reenacting forums, he'll lose a ton of business. He's had more than long enough (3 months, isn't it?) to get the order together and send it and his lack of communication is, frankly, inexcusable. I ordered my NKVD cap from another Ukraninan seller and got it within 2 weeks. As and when (and if!) it all turns up, I won't order anything else from Alex anyway.

By the way, I'm not holding you responsible in any way Rich, you were the one doing us all a favour!

Edit - I've emailed him. Might I suggest everyone else does as well?

Hi Alex,

My friend, Richard Vaughan, placed an order with you several weeks ago (in October) on behalf of the airsoft reenactment group I am a member of. We have not yet received any of this order and our event is less than 3 weeks away. I ask you to please let Richard know what is happening with this order. We have spent a lot of money with you and so far have had nothing in return. Many people are depending on the items arriving and arriving soon.

Thankyou

It's time to pester him incessantly.

An email every hour should do it.

Cheers Pete but I can't help feel responsible if I doesn't arrive in time. The second half of the greatcoat (the important half, ie the one with most of the greatcoats in) order also seems to have gone AWOL now. :?

I have already told him numerous times we are relying upon the order but I will keep pestering him until I get confirmation. I don't understand how he takes so long either. All the other Eastern European sellers seem to manage to get things sent in under a month, usually much less. I can understand slow postage to save costs but I don't know how it takes so long to put together, does he make everything himself?? :banghead:

If it drags on for more than another week, have a look into getting the payment back. THAT should get the knobbers attention.

Is it possible to make a plan B should the worst happen ? (e.g. bulk borrowing from somewhere)

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Any brown greatcoats are fine - I offered two up when we launched the game.

Josh @ Gunman very kindly offered his lookalike stock a while back so this may very well be a contingency if the offer is still open.

Porta the greatcoat order is seperate to this one so you don't need to worry. I know they're on their way, I'm just not sure where. :slap: Shouldn't be too long as the other 2 packages only took 11-12 days to get here.

Provided all the greatcoats turn up I should have 3 spare, plus my own to lend out. I also plan to convert my East German one into a Russian officers coat. Mainly for drinking in but our leader comrade Headshot is welcome to wear that and loan out his EM one if he wishes. I also have enough pilotkas for everyone who may need one. That should cover those who won't have anything.

We will also have two spare shinel greatcoats if necessary (our telegroikas turned up). We also have two helmets and two pilotkas, so that's two spare bits of headwear.

EDIT - whoops having just read Lardy's last post it looks like it's all under control so no need. The offer's there anyway just in case.

EDIT - and again to spell pilotka right

These offers of kit donation are fantastic folks. Hopefully, we won't need them but it's still nice to see CiA members coming up trumps for their fellow gamers. :good:
