just to confirm, i read somewhere that k98 tanakas are ok if used on hfc 134a, is this still the case, and if so what weight bb should i use ? and is there a minimum distance ?

134a is fine with an out of the box K98 and 0.2g bbs. That puts it under 350fps meaning there is no minimum engagement.
We'll need to chrono all guns anyway, so we can do this the evening before for anyone who has doubts.
Please don't bring hot guns, you won't be able to use them.

Yes, sorry. To clarify, we tested a Tanaka K98 on 134a with a 0.2g and it was under the threshold of 350fps.
What you won't be able to do is to use a heavier bb in order to bring it under 350fps. If it fires over 350fps with a 0.2g bb, the gun is too hot for this site.
You will of course, be able to put heavier bbs in once it's tested and firing below 350fps with 0.2g, but this will reduce your fps further still.
Hi, to clarify the information posted about pyro - are TLSFX ball grenades classed as Mk 5 ?

I've just spoken to TLSFX and they say that the ball grenades are Mk3. However, as they contain dried peas they might be banned as at UCAP to prevent pea plants growing everywhere!
At the moment we can only confirm that thermobarics and specifically marked Mk3s are allowed.
Our experiences are that Mk3s aren't very pokey though, and that thermos have a more satisfying purcussion, but that's up to you.
thanks for the tanaka info guys, ive yet to recive it in the post, im hopeing it will arrive in a day or two (damm posties, a bit of snow and the job stops)
ill order some 134a tonight then, and ill bring along my g41 as a reserve in case the tanaka is hot (it shoudlnt be its supposed to be new with no modifications) , the g41 should be under 350 fps
time like this i wish i had a chrono
