TM AK v3 Gearbox & Motor
Some while ago I bought in a TM Beta Spetz for an AK 'Shorty' project which didn't come to fruition - this is the gearbox and motor from that.
The lad that I bought the Spetz from had bought the gun from new but rarely used it, keeping it as a backup/loaner. I put a few mags though it to test and since then it has sat in a spares box, unmolested.
Being straight from the Spetz it has a 2/3rds vented cylinder; as a standard TM box, it would be easy to swap over cylinders for a custom/non-vented version, if barrels longer than 370mm-ish are to be used.
FPS is again standard at circa 280, fine for most scenarios and kind on smaller batteries.
The gearbox is externally clean, the wiring good and, having connected it up to a lowish mAh stick battery today, runs well.
I rarely airsoft now and having got a full-stock AK 'spare' just in case, the gearbox/motor are just surplus to requirement.
