I've got mine packed with me mate if you need it, I have contacts as well but have learnt to put them in without a mirrior, am tempted to just wear my inserts in my shooting glasses to avoid the bother.

Cheers. I don't wear mine enough to have learnt to do without a mirror yet since I basically only use them for airsoft. I'll take specs as well but much prefer using lenses.
If you're used to contacts it's easier than you think to put them in without a mirror. Give it a try.
Anyone got any suggestions on how to stop leather straps from squeaking?
Managed to 'quieten' the rest of my gear, but the leather straps attached to my ruck keep rubbing and are squeaking a fair bit.
Would wrapping them in gaffa tape help?
PS - +1 on the Etool count.
Creaky leather is a pain! Usually though, noone else can hear it within a few feet, it's just your own paranoia that magnifies the sound.
The SAS contingent won't be going anywhere near the enemy whilst carrying bergens anyway Scott, so, no worries there.
