Provisional rules are:
Dutch with orange armbands or carrying weapons are 'combatant' and can be targeted like any other player.
Unarmed and no armband... if the Axis shoot one they will cry 'civilian'. You are both then dead! (This applies to UK accidentally shooting Dutch as well.)
Germans may stop and search 'civilians' and if they are carrying weapons or military equipment you may 'capture them' and take them to the police station.
If you stop and search a unarmed guy with the right papers you may 'move him on' and direct him away from you in whatever direction you choose... once he's out of sight he can do what he likes.
Bear in mind that Dutch civilians may deliberately go out of their way to be arrested to distract the Germans or create diversions.
You may only search buildings like homes and shops in the presence of an NCO unless there is obvious armed resistance in there.
That's the first draft rules that may well change.

As much as you like, they all speak English, they can pretend not to speak German though....
Furthermore the resistance will have the same general objective (i.e. destroy German forces) but may have their own Agendas as well.

Hi All
I will post what could be a numb question. How big is the site for the game? Would it make sense for the Dutch resistance to have that stereotype of Dutch transport the Bicycle to communicate with each other and possibly seperated groups of Airborne or even 30 Corp Artillery?
Thought about it and...
Given the proximity of contact and the intensity of firefights at urban it was a helath and safety no no.
My initial risk asessment was thus.
A short range burts to the face is going to make you fall off unless you're very lucky, given the debris around the site (any urban site) we'd have to insit on either not engaging cyclists (unrealistic) or makng them wear crash helmets.
Its just not really suitable for this event, woodland where you engage form further away and have grass to land on... fine.

Ah on that note would it be fair to say full face masks would be more advised than goggles?

They always are! Have you never heard a safety brief?
But as usual, most people will probably use safety glasses... I know I will!
Yes I know.. I meant to say ... MORE than recommended Not entirely sure it will do much for my look if I wear my big V-Force mask

nah... I think Gadge's post was just an example... Basically a face full of bbs would be a lot worse if you're on a bike!
Ah gotcha

I'm assuming that civilians have to do what they're told by the Wehrmacht? Or if they don't, what powers do the Wehrmacht have? If a civilian is ordered to "Kommen Sie hier!" and he doesn't, can he be shot? Please?
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Yeah but then we get to shoot you in the spuds when you're not looking. Local assassination

I think really a refusal or inability of any kind to show their papers to axis players would result in appropriate measures by the axis players to be taken.
Once papers have been checked then the civilian should be moved on...
However a reasonable amount of time should be allowed for papers to be shown.
i.e. no shouting from a distance at civilians to show their papers whilst pulling the trigger on your aeg! lol

Well you won't have a gun with you if you don't have your orange armband on... so no fear of that. (Thats a definate rule, btw.)
The germans will know you're armed by the presence of the armband.
Yeah I meant that we could remember then go back for "revenge" when suitably attired
No longer involved in airsoft.
sure!
Hurrah!

I presume no unarmed Dutch person would be silly enough to deliberately run across firing lines in an attempt to get a German soldier "killed"....? (One has to think of all possibilities.)

1) i dont think the sort of gmaer we have booked in does stuff liek that, its a very 'gamey' tactic.
2 ) i'd have words with anyone who thought that was acceptable play.
