General Briefing
Soldiers of the Reich, it appears that at last the war is coming towards us. We have reports of a mass parachute drop on the south of Arnhem and at Nijmegan. At the present time we are unsure as to their objectives however we must ensure that the bridge over the Rhine remains in our hands and that general model and his HQ are not endangered. We have considerable forces at our disposal and should any allied troops be encountered the combined forces of the Whermacht and Waffen SS will defeat them.
To this end we have doubled our patrols at Arnhem bridge and established a garrison force at the Hartenstein hotel and the rail marshalling yard, it is imperative that we retain control of these locations.
Furthermore the Abwher intelligence officers report increased Dutch partisan activity, be especially vigilant of the local populace and do not hesitate to stop and search suspicious individuals.
I have every confidence our garrison force will be more than sufficient to safeguard this town but remember men that our brave comrades in the Waffen SS are on standby and have recently received excellent anti invasion training.
