OK, now done - but I'm pretty sure the squad structure he has started is for his 'club' not for the game. Anyway, I've made that clear to him now, just in case.

Dave, please give stubblehopper a kick up the bum... its not his job to organise the order of battle for arnhem!
I'm building up a feeling for SH and it's not good, I forsee us falling out with him before too long.....I also get the feeling he's newish to airsoft, as he still thinks he can build an uberteam ......
I've put my boot in on the Hohenstaufen thread. Hopefully he'll read what i've written and see sense.
One thing I will say, is that if he annoys Neillblume expect fireworks. Neil doesnt suffer fools gladly (witnessed this at first hand at CSU)

I wouldn't pick a fight with him either , he a right SS looking bastard ( meant in a respectful way)
TBH I think the KGHS thing will fall apart just becasue you are all 00's of miles apart , I also think SH's is on a bit of an ego trip . However I stand to be proved wrong and hope it's a success as long as it doesn't end up souring our events.
Ex squaddies and airsofting, can sometimes be a dangerous mix, our own good Gadge excepted of course ! ![]()
Bloody team politics... I hate them.
Just collect the uniforms and kit and have fun, ffs!
BTDT on Team Politics. Twice. I quit two teams when the BS factor raised its ugly head. On the flip side.......feck me, did I get out of Team Wannabe at the right time. Before they became a bunch of kevlar cheating bastards
KGH *is* doable - but not to the level SH thinks possible. Most people will realise that pretty damn quickly.

You were in Team Wannabe? .....he he he ! Talk about being legends, I heard their name mentioned again over the weekend .
All teams fail eventually IMHO because they generally get up their own ass too much over time , "far too good for airsofting" is a phrase I can relate to .
BTW I take it SH has decided unilaterally he is the Fuhrer of this new team ......delusions of grandeur !

No actually having read this he is bonkers as well as coming from Lincolnshire. What is it with that county?, Poachers from there as well ![]()
TLF died basically cos everyone wanted to do something else...
Not my fault! Honest!
Looks like SH *might* have seen some sense...
Lets just take it slowly, and see if we all get along
Team Wannabe and "too good for airsofting". Yup, its why i left 'em. I wanted to PLAY not POSE around in the kit all day - and I noticed how arrogant they were getting towards other players. However, if you want a laugh, have a look at their forum. They are trying to avoid the effects of the VCRA by forming a "Special Forces Reenactment Group"....

I think all players tend to look at teams with suspicion , and TBH the team I've played with forever (1Sdn) can be up it's own arse from time to time .
The approach our mob is moving down now is going further towards reenactment and less towards airsoft , playing up at IED with Team Pegasus and other eq sqaddie mobs . It's more about being an effective soldier for a weekend than getting maximum kills with maximum BBs . Lots of patrolling and fieldcraft, no hire guns, marshalls and upset.
There is always this obsession with teams esp at open days with being "better than everyone else" - it's all so Ghey ! Hence why I play at other sites with other people doing other things, hopefully remaining a bit aloof from the cliqueness of it all .
Sorry to ramble !
I've had a PM reply to my 'clarifying' PM to him and all is cool. He just asked that we bear the group in mind if and when it's possible to put them together in-game, which is fair enough.
As you all suggest, it's unlikely that they will be a thriving group but hey, look at it this way - it's great that we DO have enthusiastic players wanting to play on the dark side.
Anyhoo, I've yet to meet him face to face (or some of the others come to that) so we will see what happens at Arnhem!
