For anyone using the STG44 / MP44 for the first outing with mags in pouches be warned the mags can get stuck if inserted with the top of the mag pointing upwards, this is the logical way to put them in the pouches but the tab on the magazine base plate can get stuck on the stitching in the bottom of the pouch, now comes the problem, if you put them the pouches the other way around the weight of the bbs can push the bb loading flap open & you will have a mag pouch full of bbs, the solution is put a small piece of good quality tape on them to secure the bb flap them insert them upside down, we don't want anyone with mags jammed in pouches in a fire fight, also as the STG44 is battery hungry get a few spare batteries, these can be put in plastic tubes to save them from damage while being carried, they do snap very easily, I haved in the past carried stick batteries loose in pouches & broken them,
