This is the bloody culmination of the campaign in Normandy. The remnants of the Wehrmacht are falling back towards the Seine in the hope that they can cross away from the advancing allies. Following the failure of the Mortain counter offensive the German forces are ever increasingly being trapped in a pocket as the British/Canadian and polish forces close in from the north West and the Americans from the south.
A mixed Kampfgruppe of German forces is desperately trying to hold up the advance as the main body of their forces withdraw.
This game is held at Close Action near Kettering in Northants.
A large site with mixed woodland and remaining features from the original USAAF base at Grafton Underwood.
This is an all day game. Arriving from 0800 with briefing at 0930 and play finishing at 1700 hrs.
