This is a rifles only event. Both sides will have the option for a properly crewed support weapon but all other players must be armed with rifles.
What is acceptable for rifles?
Any wood effect WWII period rifle is acceptable for either side. Bolt actions are preferred, but there is no problem with people using semi automatic rifles. If a semi automatic rifle is being used, then smaller magazines should be used with them – otherwise they become a 'game advantage' mechanic, and that is just tedious.
Can I use My SMG on single shot?
No. part of the beauty of using rifles is that they are large and cumbersome objects to react with, we want to keep that dynamic.
What about pistols?
See above. The only people using pistols will be the organisers.
What is the FPS limit?
The FPS limit for semi automatics is 350 maximum. You may use a bolt action rifle at up to 500 fps but there will be a rigidly enforced minimum engagement range. We recommend that you bring your rifle down to under 350fps as you will get much more out of the game by doing so. With everyone else at 350fps you will not be 'out performed', and you will be able to operate at any range without needing to run away/surrender if your opponent gets close (remember, you have no pistol).
any questions do feel free free to ask and will then update this for clarity.
Facemasks
As this game will only be using low powered rifles there is no need for face masks.
Absolutely. M14s are fine, so long as they are wood effect, as they just look like rifles.
On the M14`s what size mags are you going to allow?
I allow what people have, if you only have mid/high caps then so be it. I just ask that they are filled to a suitably small level of 12 or so.
That way the semi automatics can 'burn through' their ammo quickly and require re-loading, making their more considered use preferable.
It's about making them a rifle which can be used alongside the bolt actions, and not a 'better weapon' then the bolt action - which semi automatic rifles were historically.
