Dear All

Please take some time and read through this list of rules which define how this event will be run . It will hopefully avoid confusion on the day if players have a prior understanding of them . Any queries or clarifications req'd please post, hoever apart from the artillery I don't think there is anything experienced players will not have met before .

Also please try to be on site by 9 am , ready & armed for the safety brief at 9.30 . After the safety brief each team will be briefed by their commanders at their CP so late attenders run the risk of missing the games objectives. The day will be short enough on hours , and I'm sure we'd all like to get maximum playing time out of the event .

It is advised that players research the Battle of the Bulge , if only to the extent of watching the film or reading the Wikipedia entry .
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Bulge
It will help you to understand how the games are structured , as we have tried to incorporate as many of the legends and historical reality as possible into the scenarios (sadly no King Tigers though) . That said, it should be a cracking day even if you have no prior knowledge of the real battle

Game Play

Game Duration
Safety Brief 30 minutes 0930-1000hrs
Game 1 2 ½ hours 1000 – 1230 hrs ( players maybe be out of the game from 12 onwards as regen will close for both sides at 12, and so lunch/Gucci burgers will be between 12 and 1)
Game 2 2 ½ hours 1300 – 1530 hrs
Debrief 15 minutes 1530-1545hrs ( Sunset at 1600)
Pub !

Command Posts

Both sides will operate from a fixed CP which plays no part in victory and may not be attacked . You are not allowed to approach within 10m of an enemy CP ,
The CP is there for deployment , Regen and other game only purposes
Each CP will be clearly marked with a flag , and contain the sides comms and spare ammo .

Command

Steve “Headshotâ€

They will remain wounded if shot whilst wounded or being healed. Please don't shoot at them at this time as they can't respond and will get annoyed with tyou

Once they're healed, then they can be shot at normal and will count as dead (unless a commander on their first life).

You may not execute prisoners because you'll be breaking the Geneva convention. (i.e. Really its up to you and your commanders to decide what they want to do.)

You will be forced to bring that along.. :)

heh...

Looks like we're not going to get the field telephones... When you do the artillery you'll need to get the coords back to your 1IC or 2IC and they will call in the attack on their sneakily hidden PMRs...
