Okay... I think we've probably got a few people taking photos at the event... but what about videos?
It would be very cool to get some decent footage of this event.
I have a camera and some experience filming airsoft events, but really I want to be in this video and don't really want to carry a camera around all day! I'll also probably have my hands full with organising things.
So... does anyone know anyone who is good at filming and also is willing to stay all day to get footage? Ideally 2 people would be good so we can have someone doing each side.
If I can get the video on DV tape then I have the kit at home to edit it and produce a DVD of the event... (Though I've not tried making a DVD yet!)
If we can't get someone to video, then an official photographer would also be cool. Major usually takes photos, but since he doesn't have the net I have yet to see any of his pictures!
I've considered asking my dad to come along and do some filming as I'm sure he'd be up for it, but he has no experience at all with using a camcorder and I think we need someone with experience.
I will be there as a US 1st signal company combat photographer. I will be mainly taking photos of the day carrying just my 1911. Altho i guess most of my photos will be the US/British side or the odd ones with some crazy german charging us.
Yeah thats the thing... too often I've seen loads of pictures from one side of an airsoft event and none from the other.
We need someone to take pictures of the Axis as well!!!
i always carry a camera,
and my brother will have one too. we can take short spells out of the game if you like, ill bring a high vis jacket, and we will be honnor bound to film both sides with equal enthusiasim
we wont get a lot, but even small clips can be usefull in a proper edited film.
all footage can be sent to whoever needs it on cd/dvd a day after the event.
will this help
??

Sounds good if you don't mind doing it?
We can have a chat on the day about it... If I lend you a DV tape to record on can I take the footage with me to sort out?

Just a thought, but Hi-Vis jackets would be a little "out of place" .Would a white tabbard be more in keeping with the spirit of the event? (white tabbards were *supposed* to be worn by medics of both sides, under the rules of the Geneva Convention to stop medical personel getting bumped off) They are visible enough to all and sundry, but dont scream "late 20th century" like a hi-vis jacket does

Now we're a country we're run by a..........
If we can find enough for all photographers and marshalls then yes thats fine.
sure , i dont mind taking some time out to help with filming...
