What times are you chaps planning on arriving at site. Obviously it would be most useful to get there in time pitch tents, get some firewood (if fires are allowed) and get props out.
We'll need to get the pyro holes dug and wires put out, but there will be a game on. Will we be able to get access to the site before it gets dark? I'll bring my hi-viz vest!
I will be there early, before lunch probably.
There will be a game on but they only have small numbers so easy to avoid and we have full access to the site.
Pyro will be placed away from gaming area, technically out of site boundary, and fairly inaccessible to all and sundry. I would certainly consider waterproofing pyro and putting it out later on Sat afternoon, however if you consider this to a risk then I'll do it after lunch on Sunday.
As for putting props out I have made this very easy. We need to do just four things:
1. Nail ammo and fuel dump designation boards to trees in place and ensure Allied master map has locations accurately marked.
2. Nail town direction boards to trees
3. Deposit all ammo tins/boxes at Allied HQ
4. Lay pyro cable
That's it!
F&O will be putting up a big tent in the safezone that we can use for the social if it's pissing down and will also be sleeping accommodation. I haven't mentioned this publicly - we can blag this for ourselves and if there is room then allow others to use it. If I say there is a big tent available to sleep in NO ONE will bring a tent and we won't fit in! We ought to bring our own tents too, just in case F&O cocks up for some reason. If we can be arsed the tent can be dismantled and the Allies can carry it out into the game and erect it at Allied HQ - perhaps this is an option if it's pissing at kit can be stashed in it in-game.
Cool, yes it'd be good to get the pyro out. I'll bring a load of food bags and elastic bands to waterproof it.
Excellent. I'll bring a roll of white tape and magic marker so the det box end of the cables can be ID'd - no mistakes when connecting up on Sunday!
Don't forget to make sure the box is fully charged - does the box have battery charge indicators or something?
Just give me a time to be there by, and i'll get there
As usual, i'm travelling with Scott, so if you need someone running around/destroying things/digging holes, give it to him. Just make sure he doesnt run into the back of a stationary vehicle this time
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
lunchtime - 1 oclock .
May have Gav with me as well .
Okey dokey. Yes, it has a charge indicator. I'll charge it at the same time as my gun batteries. I also need to get a spare remote control battery as it's a cheapo one that came with it and I don't trust it in the cold.
I'll aim to get there for midday perhaps?
Kermit, if you and Scott would like to kip at mine on the Friday you're welcome to, that way you won't need to make such an early start.

BTW - Bibby says payment of site fee is fine by cheque so don't forget to pack the cheque book!
I've just spoken to Bibby - they have just bought all the food so all look set for tomorrow/Sunday.
They have their F&O xmas do tonight so I don't expect they will be 100% for their game tomorrow!
Looks like Gucci will be making an appearance - will be good to see him again!
