I will be using my trusty 340fps K98, since it's 1941. Anyone else using a bolt-action for the event?
(I'll be bringing my MP40 to use on day 2, if I find myself utterly outgunned!)
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
If my Zetalabs Negant comes back from Airsoft world I'll be bolt action tastic, failing that, Sten or mp40.
Also using my service revolver, what was the early Russian service side arm? Is a revolver ok??

My 350 Mosin Nagant of course . Mindham will be using a boltie, and Dean likely a semi Auto. My SMGs are kind of loan out weapons these days.
My Mosin is up and running so I'll be fielding that. Ppsh will be coming as back-up/loaner.

M1895 Nagant revolver.
I don't own a rifle these days (believe it or not!), so, it'll be the PPSH getting it's first run for me, along with my M10 revolver. Will have "old faithful", ie, my trusty, 4 year old, never let me down MP40,as my "reserve" weapon.
Josh, I'd like to have a look at the Mosin, if I may?
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
I was thinking of bringing the Tanaka K98 as a Mosin look a like with the Ppsh and Mp40. Not sure if it's too cold for gas rifles though.

im bringing the maxim, but also the tanaka k98 as a backup.
i was bringing my mp40, but the tanakas far more fun.
as for temrature, ive got 498 fps from my tanaka k98 in january at -1 degree C. i just kept the magazines in my trouser pockets, and put them in only during a contact.

I've never had much luck with single-shot rifles, but I keep trying!

as ive said above, keeping mags in your pockets untill your under long range enemy fire helps out so much in cold weather. just keep them in a quick accses WARM pocket.
when you start shooting your gas is actually going off at something close to body temprature, not the outside ambient temperature, so lots more fps and less freezing of the mags, after you empty a mag, re-gas, reload and back in the pocket straight away
rotate mags equally and only fire when you need to, and gas guns are effective

I'm going with a Kar98k, so long as i get it on the weekend....you know who you are .
Failing that i'll be using either my mp40 or failing that Thompson.
Just waiting to take on the chaps on the maxim, should be 'interesting'

my KJW 1911 not very russian
Ah, my old 1911, hope you have fun with it. I'm bringing my springer 1911 just in case.
Sadly my M14/SVT40 is broken atm, so I'll be using my MP40 with Thompson for backup.
Cheers
