Hey Guys,

I can't find my Maroon Beret, I have ordered a replacement but haven't seen anything yet.

Does anybody have a spare one for Sunday, Yith has very kindly offered me a Para Helmet, but could do with a Beret for the drill photos. MY head size is 65cm, I believe that might be 7,1/2 size.

Cheers,

W

Full of knowledge! ;) 65 is only a rough measurement around my head, it was using a metal tape measure, so its likely to be smaller! :)

I keep finding with WW2 headwear it's pot-luck whether it fits, regardless of what the label says. Blummin annoying...

Webby... I have borrowed a beret from Syd for you... though it may be a bit small... we'll see tomorrow.

Yeah! :) I'm just a bit worried that it'll come off, sewing wool to wool isnt the strongest, especially when its a heavy badge. Might re-do it by sewing the card backing to the leather tab on the inside of the beret liner.

EDIT: Damn its actually plastic!

I would have thought it'd be fine sewn through the felt only.

I cut a slit in the actual beret, and fed the plastic disc in through the hole, its now hanging on there by itself without moving so jobs a bad'un! hehe

You'll want to sew it on as well.
