Its the correct one for WW2... but expensive... as per usual with SOF... You'll get cheaper from a trip to Stoneleigh militaria fair... or if you can get one from WPG.
For airsoft I recommend the 60s/70s ones with the poppers... those hooks and eyes tend to break off with use.
Cheers - I know you mentioned poppers at the training day but couldn't find any like that on the web. Will keep an eye out for them.
I will buy a few if I see any at Stoneleigh.
Thanks - put us down for two and let me know how much if you do find some.
As far as i know the tan/khaki 303 bandoleers always had the small brass hooks up until the 70s.
The green nylon ones then had the poppers
The same pattern goes back to at least the first world war. I have one that is dated 1918 with a '40's reissue stamp. The hooks are stamped copper rather than the bent wire hooks of later but the same idea.

No you can get tan cloth bandoliers with poppers as yith and i use them for airsoft for practical purposes and the hook and eye type we save for re-enacting

Yith bought his from a stand at the last fair - the stand was run by the really tall chap who does reenacting/LH as Brit Airborne, you might know him?

Think i might have a couple of spare unissued 50s dated ones somewhere
There you go...
Nice one-Thanks
Never ever seen one of those before ![]()
They're a lot more practical for airsoft use as the hooks tend to break after a bit of use on the 40s/50s ones.
In order to get the APS mags used with the S&S No4 into them it's necessary to unpick a couple of the dividers. Once thats been done its possible to get 4 mags in and a small bag of spare bbs.
