As per the title, who is the current best supplier of reasonable BD, both in terms of price and quality ?

I'd like to get a pair of BD Trousers, suitable for all Brit impressions through Para/Commando/SAS to line Infantry to Home Guard so I'm assuming '37 patt ?

Dickie Knight, Pegasus (?) and Panther are all well regarded but I can't justify the expense at the moment despite the obvious quality.

SoF are normally over-priced but well used. Epic have their current range but recent threads/searches seem to rate SoF over Epic ?

Are Sof's worth the extra over Epic or are they all the same in reality ?

Any other 'reasonable' suppliers to try ?

NB :
* As I need 40"-42" waist, '49 patt are too small for a single pair, or would work out too expensive to buy two pairs to cannibalize and have made into one bigger pair (if I could find any at all !)
* I don't want so cheap and thin a pair (as a lot of the Chinese copies are) that they won't last the course.

Opinions (from 'hands-on' experience) welcomed please :good:

I've used Spearhead BD for years. Just don't expect it to protect you from thorns or owt.

I recently replaced my Epic ones with SOF, they are definitely an improvement, in both colour and material. Also the SOF ones have the correct brass buttons rather than Epics plastic ones.

They're also very hard wearing and after rolling around in the woods a few times they seem to be holding up very well.

The Epic and Spearhead ones appear to be one-and-the-same.
