A very quick question.. Did I read on the forum (have looked again but can't find link) that DMS boots come up small?
ie. if you're size nine you will need a size ten?
Regards Chris.

That is not my experience, Chris.

Yeah, in the service, you're told to 'go up one size', but that's only because you're then expected to wear mega-layers of patrol socks to stop your feet from blistering. If for short-period wear, normal sizes for normal sized feet.

I brought a pair a few weeks ago in my normal size to wear at a 40's themed party
Wore with thick socks all night ( about 6 hours ) dancing and didn't sit down all night and they were very comfortable
Not worn them yet for a skirmish though

Thanks for the replies.. I guess I will be ordering a size 9 then.. Would Sabre sales be the best option..??
I need to order some other bits anyway and postage always seems to be £3.00 from them no matter what you buy..

Hmmm, dunno about being told to go 'up a boot size'
I was only ever issued boots in the correct size for my feet (thats an issue of both BCH, Pro Boot and Assault boots). I used to buy jungle boots a bit larger to allow for wearing a goretex inner boot (may soud weird but that was my preffered boots Junglies with goretex inners... lightweight, waterproof, dried out very quickly and if it as very hot you could bin the liners).
What you *might* be getting confused with is US sizing. US boot sizes are a size or two larger than their uk counterpart.... for example I wear size 12 us junge boots but size 10 uk ones.

Just had my first visit to /experience of Sabre Sales... (still A bit shaken from all the stuff) Managed to find a new un-issued pair of DMS boots.. size 10 fits perfectly.. And I am your bog standard size 9 in every pair of shoes I own.. (And I am the Emelda Marcos of Hove)
Go figure....
