Early war and indian pattern gaiters dont have leather tabs.

My best 'walking out' pair have no tabs on them.

And ben you *chose* a cap GS you need help mate...

Basically early war ones have leather boots support and brass fitting and brass tab ends but web tabs, web tabs were found to slip so they were replaced with leather tabs.

Various manufacturers made loads of different types so you'll see most mid war with leather supports and tabs, most indian pattern ones have neither boot support or tabs.

Very late war webbing uses as little brass and leather as possible. Really late war kit you start to see steel fitting on webbing.

If you're replacing your gaiters i might be interested in buying that larger pair off you, mine are always riding up over my boot top.

Are they size 6?

How are you for webbing Ben?

Alternatley a reasoable tailor/alterations place will be able to remove the buckle mounts and pull em back a inch or so... probably cost you a pound or two

Map pocket looks fine for 'para' trousers, it'll look even better when stuffed with mags, food or grenades.
Gaiters do look a bit on the loose side, I find the local tack shop [for horsey types] are great at sewing canvas and leather.

This is interesting as I have been loathe to order anything from replicaters as some of the pictures on their website have blatantly been stolen from other sites. Most notably The Sutlers Stores - a fine company who make excellent repro stuff here in the UK.

Ooooo Looking sweet there Baldrick. Amusingly the shadow on the wall behind you makes it look like you were superimposed.. on a brick wall :)

Very nice kit tho. Am probably gonna make an order myself when I eventually have some money in June ;)

I've had some jungle trousers, 2 jungle shirts, a bush jacket and jungle battledress form replicaters.

Cant fault it.

Fits beautifully, looks accurate, feels nice.
