im planning on going royal engineers as my brit kit, but will i still be able to play like any other unit? eg commandos etc. also what weapons would be acceptable to make it seem more realistic??

and does anyone know where i can find any pictures of ww2 royal engineers? either real or re-enactors, because i cant find any good ones :( )

A GS Shovel or a Bailey Bridge would be appropiate armament!
For pictures try Royal Engineers Museum Chatham.
For troops attached to the Commando's or Airborne Divisons they would be armed as the infantry in the units but would carry extra or special to task equipment. Such as explosives or mine clearing equipment.

Just one or the other. If you lug a Bailey Bridge around with you no one would expect you to carry a shovel as well. :good:

haha well i dont think i can lug a bailey bridge all by myself (hint hint) but iv been thinking along the lines of 9th company royal engineers or "the shiny 9th) airbourne engineers.

they served in d-day and the rest or normandy, operation market garden, and Sicily
