DivPatch sell two versions of my favorite regiment's shoulder titles.
One says "BEDFORD and HERTFORD"
the other says "BEDFS and HERTS"
anyone know the difference?
You can also get ones saying just "HERTFORDSHIRE" in WW2 style, which is totally wrong. The usual one for Beds and Herts is the one you mentioned previously with the "BEDFS" instead of the also wrong but availiable "BEDS". I haven't ever seen a "BEDFORD AND HERTFORD" one, which is also odd as both Bedford and Hertford are just two towns

I have 2 cap badges that my grandad gave me when I was a kid. One says Hertfordshire Regiment, the other Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire. Totally different designs. Could be a WWI /WWII thing with the shoulder rockers. I'm off to the museum next week so maybe all will become clear.

The plain "Hertfordshire" stuff is WW1 and inter-war years. Have fun in Luton! The museum is a great place to visit for info.
