How is the sizing on SOF's 37 patt wool battle bress? Is it generous to any degree? Or is it tighter than stated?

The jackets tend to be cut longer in the body than originals. With your slim athletic looks you may be better looking at the tailor made or finding an original if you are looking to spend some money.

Thanks, I did read somewhere that they're longer in the body. Am I right in thinking that Panther Store is the best for tailor made BD?

Here you can see the problem with SoF BD. His webbing is sitting perfectly, but the blouse is cut far too long: http://1939-45.co.uk/britishuniform.html

I'm very pleased indeed with my Panther BD, and would definitely recommend them to you. A standard size 17 fits me, so I didn't need to use their tailoring service though.

Yes that SOF BD does look a bit off.

Panther Store's standard size 11 seems a bit too short and 13 seems a bit long, as I'm about 5'10" 1/2. I think I'll wait until I've stopped growing before I order, as its a lot of money to spend on something and have it not fit in a years time! I still have my Dutch BD in the mean time.

The SoF BD is OK on me lengthwise, but I'm tall (6'2").

I got the SOF 40'' chest as I have a few other jackets etc labelled as that size. Being 6ft tall the extra length is appreciated, but I'm also very skinny so I noticed it looked like a very baggy fit, even by BD standards I guess, when I saw the pics of myself at the Rise of the Tenth. In actuality I might be more like 39'' but SOF's next size down, 38'' might have been the better choice (similar story for their trousers too).

My legs make up the majority of my height (if that makes sense) so I think that the long SOF BD tunic will be very noticeable. I think I'll wait a while and save up for a set of Panther Store 37 patt, as it's not much more than SOF if I buy the set with the collarless shirt and cap, ridiculous. Thank you very much for all of your advice and wisdom! :D
