Hello

Could you helpful chaps be another great help to me again? As its getting hotter now I really dont fancy running around in a wool uniform so i was thinking of getting these to wear:

http://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/ishop ... r2640.html

Could anyone tell me what they think about them that would be a great help.
Im not to sure on the colours but if they`re not the right colour i could always dye them a tan colour. If anyone has any other suggestions I wouldnt mind hearing them either.

Cheers

Are you on the small side? 29/30 inch leg x 26/28 waist, 13.5" collar

Ok.. clearly you're thin... 28" waist max on those trousers.

The trousers are wool 49 pattern. Convertable to wartime pattern with a bit of work and acceptable without the work... but they are wool and hence warm!

The shirt will no doubt be a poly-cotton mix and hence may look a bit rubbish... It may look WW2ish, but it certainly won't look right.

If I were you I'd get a set of denims... blue/grey or brown. They're available as repros from sof and replicaters (cheaper from replicaters...)

Or... get some JGs (but only for far east...)

or... a denison and those trousers would be good.

I have been known to wear my full-on wool in summer... you do get used to it!

Yeah, I've done full-wool in summer and it's really not too bad at all, especially if you've only got a light shirt underneath the blouse.

Yith, given the poor pics i aint getting into a barney but i would 99.9% say they are Canadian trs given that the map pkt appears to be in the correct position, the buttons look like the unique Canadian type and also the belt loops button at the top-ALL 49 patt Brit trs ive had button at the bottom

Either way no big deal as they are too small anyway :D :D
