For an accurate reproduction Pegasus (for earliest pattern) or Military History Workshop (later Mk1 without fibre rim) are good. I have a MHW one and am very happy with it. This is suitable for S Staffords post Sicily portrayal. The battalion did have an issue of early pattern helmets but most of these seem to have gone to the bottom of the Med during Op Husky.
If you want a looks like helmet, get an AFV helmet or fibreglass copy and bolt the paratrooper chin strap direct to the helmet lining so missing out the very hard task of trying to make holes in a hardened steel helmet.

Pegasus are best to contact by phone or at a show.

SoF do some as well now.

Not sure how good they are though, probably not as good as Pegasus and MHW.

Not seen an actual one of these. The flared bottom of the helmet in the pictures looks wrong.

SoF's ones ain't too bad actually, scrim it up a bit though. Only critisism is comfort, definitely try before you buy, or get a size bigger than you normally take, as the liners tend to dig a little at the back of the head
