Ive been looking around, and I havnt found much, and I know its not WWII, but close. I just recieved my No.1 Mk III Lee Enfield Stamped 1917, and I wanted a Uniform to accompany it. Anyone know of any good links to some good sites? Thanks,

Alternatively... use your No1 enfield in just about any theatre of WW2 other than late war NWE and your no 1 is eminently suitable.

I'm sure I've seen them in the hands of african child soldiers/guerilla fights on that continent.

He's not cheap... but he's probably the best you can get. For instance my 37pat Bds were £250... but they're superb!

Try emailing them...

http://www.replicaters.com/ww1britisharmy.htm

Are these guys good, and if so, this is what im getting from the them for a subtotal of $390

Including

1. British WWI Ammo Boots $74
2.Entire P.08 Webbing $225
3.Corporal Chevron in Pairs $5.00
4.British WWI Greyback collarless undershirt $50
5.British Army WWI 1907 puttees or wool leggings $16
6.Entrenching Tool and Helve (handle) $20

I also still need to get some trousers, and a Tunic, and of coarse a Gas mask, and Gas mask carrying bag that goes on my chest. But I still have to find a place that sells them for reasonable prices. And also does anyone know where I can get a liner for my Brodie Helmet??

Thanks,

-Tobin

Well the serge used in their WW2 uniforms is pretty bad... so I wouldn't bother to be honest... up to you...

Dunno what the '08 webbing is like but "Lawrence Ordanance" in Australia does good sets... I think I saw some '08 webbing on the "motion picture props" stall at a show as well.

I agree with Yith about the quality of replicators serge, (I just recently got Patt 37 BD's and collarless shirt which are OK but I wish I'd paid extra and got better quality elsewhere), plus I've seen a lot of bad reports about replicators footwear.

For the P08 webbing you could try http://www.schipperfabrik.com/brit_gear.html I've not used them myself so I can't say how good or bad they are.

I bought a set of replicators webbing boots and uniform for doing some ww1 living history this summer. It was generaly very bad. The Webbing was pretty bad and took alot of re-stitching to make the pouches wide enough to fit equipment in. The uniform needed to be completely re buttoned with correct buttons as most of them where either cheap brass or plastic and the tunic was very thin in the back. The boots where completely diabolical and I can't think of a nice thing to say about them at all.

I couldn't afford a new uniform so I made do with the replicators one. Some of the others in the group order What Price Glory ones and they where realy realy good. I got a pair of WPG boots which again where very good and didn't take much time at all to break in.

For webbing we went to Lawrance Ordnance in Austraila and there webbing is great, only difference is that they don't have any deviders in the ammo pouches as they where left out of the ANZAC pattern.

Hope this helps

Stu

Shame that the Reps WW1 kit sounds so bad - there are a few posts about how good the WWII stuff is. The windproof and Denison reviews were so good I've ordered them...
