For those of us planning on turning up earlier than the rabble to help Guy set up, any chance of directions of how to get to the site?

Cheers,

Jay.

Friday night, how far we gonna be from the cars? Reason I ask is that i'm a lazy sod, and i'd much rather crash in the car and be nice and dry at the start of the game on Saturday...

Where we sleep is up to us . There are more Germans than Allied, but I thought myself ot pitch up ay the German to camp to save having ot do it twice. Hence why I thought Allied could do the same , or not .

Actually, thinking about it a bit more. We could pitch tents and leave them up if we camp in the Allied section. Not sure I'll be in period gear though, although the forecast for Friday's not too bad.

Go on then, I'm convinced....separate camps on Friday, but nothing to stop folks socialising together.

Must admit, most tempted to put the Zelt tent up on Friday, save arsing around with it on Saturday. Then again, I dont quite trust 100 year old technology, so the Goretex bivi will be getting an outing as well...

Oh christ, I'll have my goretex bivvy inside my pup tent. I hate being cold and wet.

heh, if its that wet and cold the Quasar, Thermarest and ME Exped. bag are coming out the car. Shortly to be followed by a statement along the lines of "anyone who tries to prise me out of my tent this weekend will be getting knifed"...

My *serious* kit is staying in the car unless its absolutely atrocious. Otherwise, its Kipmat, Bivi bag and the stupidly warm sheepskin-lined Kharkov parka.

Let's just hope that the weather doesnt demand the decent kit...

Right, we're nearly there!

Just to check then. Are we alright just to turn up at the site following these directions tomorrow?

I'm planning on leaving around 2pm so should be there by 4pm at the very latest.

Thanks

S

I'm planning to turn up around 9am on Saturday and drive straight there using that map... Is that ok?

If there's lots of rain and I don't turn up for ages then I'm probably stuck in a flood somewhere... I won't be wimping out!

I'll be there from midday ish

Yep the site will be "locked" - the gate will have a padlock it , however you'll be able to undo it and open the gate .
Make sure you leave it as you found it to stop the motocrossers mucking around .

We are leaving notts 5pm friday.

ETA is about 7.45 given no flood type diversions.
