Initial orders for Allied at start of game and can be posted in private forum now
Allied Initial Orders Friday 29th June 1944 .
Over the past three weeks, London has been hit by a new kind of German weapon , a rocket powered flying bomb. Knowledge of this new weapon is limited , however it is known they are being launched from fixed and mobile sites in Occupied Holland . Attack by air has proved difficult, , namely with the difficulty in locating them despite help from the Dutch Resistance. With the campaign in Normandy , there is no current intention to mount a large scale assault in Holland to remove the threat.
The Prime Minister has demanded that action against these Flying Bombs be taken, and so a small forces of US and British Airborne will be flown in to area in Holland identified as launching sites by Dutch resistance .Forces Available
Mixed force of US./British Ariborne Commando and Engineers
Force will drop overnight on the night of Friday 29th June , drop conditions are good.
Drop will be in belt order, further heavy equipment will be landed separately .Mission .
1 To effectively marshall forces on the ground following the airdrop to form an effective fighting force whilst evading enemy knowledge of your presence
2 To contact the local Dutch Resistance in the area of point 486 who will act as your guides
3 To reconnaissance the launching site whilst not being discovered by the enemy
4 To radio back the location of the launching site to the RAF who will attempt to destroy it by low level Mosquito FB .
5 If necessary, at command discretion, and based on local enemy forces to break cover and neutralise any enemy AA positions in advance of the RAF attack .
6 To effect an escape to the east , prior to rendezvous with British Submarine at 1800hrs Saturday 30th June for recovery .You are not to engage enemy targets without express permission of the OC unless your mission is compromised . Stealth is the key to success.
Secondary Objectives
At command discretion the kidnapping of officers from the launch unit in conjunction with any associated intelligence paperwork for removal to Britain .
Intel
Local intel from the area is limited. It is believed that the Germans are operating in at least company strength . As well as rocket artillery personal, signals indicate elements of Heer, Flak and FJ units and also mobile Waffen SS Panzergrenadiers .
As Yith's posted this already I just made some minor changes to it. EG: Changed it to 'Hill 486' to avoid confusion. (Well, it confused me!)
One thing though, do you think the insertion/extraction dates and times you have listed cause confusion at all as they don't match our game times.
These are your initial orders , the game unfolds as we manipulate what hppaens. Yje initial mission is recce for the RAF , of course if the RAF fails ...most player won't read it anyway !
Got it. Will be a nice little thing to say that the sub has got stuck in a mine field the North Sea or summat.
Hmm, Steiner has made a good point about prisoners. Are we allowing the taking of prisoners?
Sorry I thought that was clear from the script.
In essence during the escape and evade phase we are looking to capture you . We will then take you back to our base , and then I'll arrange for Allied to be re inserted back into the game at a new entry points.
You could capture us , but as both sides can only hold POWs for 10 minutes not a lot of point , better of just bang killing and forcing a regen .
After you've put in your attack on the 88 I expect to to be acting more as a normal a/s "army" and so prisoner taking will be come as usefull or not as always .
FFS, I've got so many bits of info in my head I'm going mad.
Of course it's clear from the script, but I was looking through the player rules and couldn't see anything about it. Ignore me.
"If Germans capture Allies they will be held for a period until in groups of 4 or more and then re-landed at points LZ1-5."
I mean, I even did the formatting for the feckin' document!
That's alright , just find the nearest German patrol on Saturday afternoon and calmy hand yourself and your squad in .
My orders are going to be to totally avoid contact if possible, and to retreat rapidly if contact is made.
Are we running a sweepstake on the number of times Yith is captured?
Yep I reckon at least twice on the Saturday and once on the Sunday .
Dave, can you post up a decent size pic of your avatar fizzog so I can print off a large version for IDing you for your capture?
Thanks!

The German side will not stand for anyone following the example of Von Paulus at Stalingrad. It's the Feldmarschall Model way - no surrender. Pull out P38 and then ventilate your own head....
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
But it's in the Geneva Convention! (Or the game rules as they are known)
*ahem* AH's "Commando Order"
Part 3, i quote...
3. I order, therefore:
From now on all men operating against German troops in so-called Commando raids in Europe or in Africa, are to be annihilated to the last man. This is to be carried out whether they be soldiers in uniform, or saboteurs, with or without arms; and whether fighting or seeking to escape; and it is equally immaterial whether they come into action from Ships and Aircraft, or whether they land by parachute. Even if these individuals on discovery make obvious their intention of giving themselves up as prisoners, no pardon is on any account to be given. On this matter a report is to be made on each case to Headquarters for the information of Higher Command.

Then we'll drag Herr Werner's limp body back to our CP.
LIMP?!! Stiff as a board mate.
Oh, I see.
My bet on capture stakes. CW - 0 : Yith - 3 (excepting ambush on Sunday when I will play into your hands as the Allies will have seen so little action)
I don't want to know what you'll be doing with (or rather to) Helga in the back of your transport.
The ambush is on Saturday evening!
Ah you have been reading the script hhahaahahahahhahaha
Re dirty goings on in the back of the German transport , "keine hunding bitte "
Awww, sans scar!
