Is there any particular reason why the kit can't just be left in the cars? It looks like they're going to be pretty close to where you're suggesting anyway...

My plan is to pick up all the Allied kit in the two vehicles and drop it at your campsite after the end of the 88mm attack say around 6pm. Hence why I want it all in one place ot upload. It doesn't look far on the map however it is quite a rough trek, taking about an hour, by the time airsofters have wandered forth and back it will add several hours of down time into the event . On top of a days softing I suspect it wouldn't be appreciated, esp as we can get round the back with the LRs quite easily.

I posted openly about not taking mountains of crap because I don't want to have to spend hours doing five trips because some cocknose wants five guns and eighteen handbags with him .

By doing this I'll also get chance to have a conflab with yourselves ot see whats working and whats not, whilst both sides pitch tents and cook dinner, prior to the vehicle ambush .

Finally if possible I'd rather players not go back ot the cars unless absolutely neccessary- I think it will detract from the whole feeling of the 24 hour event if you can bob back to the Toyata when you feel like it .

Hmm... well as already pointed out I have some special kit for the event to transport... Also to me its highly important than my pup tent does not get mixed up with anyone elses...

To be honest if it looks like rain, then I think we will have to keep stuff in the cars.

The whole idea of kit just getting put in cars without the owners present worries me...

My pup tents better than yours .... I'm not even going to go there.

German kit will be left out all day , the Brit stuff will be in a dense wood under a tarp , unless it's slashing down that's the way to go . If you let them all go back to the cars for their stuff it'll all go to ratshit for at least three hours which I'm not prepared to let happen .

Option two is that after attacking the 88 you make your way up to the ambush point, we have that battle earlier than planned and afterwards your guys pick up their stuff and take it down to your base. This is not ideal as it means an early end to the day and no rest period for anyone from lunchtime till late .

Might worry you but has been SOP at most 24 hour events I've been to as a driver .

Its a bit different when the kit has been placed and left... Its the whole business of someone else moving it for me that I don't like.

The fact that it could be belting it down with rain also puts me off... I had stuff under cover at Colchester a couple of weeks ago and it still got very wet.

If there's a shadow of a chance of serious rain then I want my tent set up as soon as I can after its left my car to guarantee that its dry and my stuff inside it, also to guarantee it keeps dry.

If because of someone else has fucked it up my kit gets wet I'm liable to get in more of a huff than Webby ever has! If its because of my own ineptitude then its a different matter.

And yes my pup tent is better than many... it has a mosquito net that not all the others have! Plus I have exactly the right number of tent pegs in the tent... I don't want to end up with too few thanks!

If it was likely to be normal June sunny weather this weekend then I'd have fewer issues... however I think the chance of that is extremely low!

For me it'd be better to get the camp set up before we start ANY play for the day.

Lets play it by ear, based on the weather .

 I've also remembered that we'll have IEDs army artic 9x9 markee tent at the car park for admin which is totally storm proof . If we get the allies to leave their kit in there we can seal it up and it will be dry and unmolested all day . If you are desperate to leave your stuff in the car , then fine , I'll drop by when we go to pick up the stuff and you can collect it then .

Deal ?

Gets my vote. Just make sure theres a space in the 9x9 so Yith's kit can be kept away from the plebians...

From my POV, if both sides set their camps up at the start of the game, you wont see anyone out patrolling till a couple of hours afterwards.

Oh, and i'll give you all fair warning that ive buggered my shoulder up again, so im not in a happy mood - and thats *with* the pain killers.

Your shoulder, Gadges back, Stubblehopper arriving in the evening , defections to the enemy feckin heck it's getting more like the Volksturm with every passing minute.
CW advises that Stormtrooper Ade is looking dubious as well .

BTW Kermit , I have an idea for a subplot involving the German capture of a very special pup tent .......

I've no problem with kit being left.

Yith, if you want to do it differently you can give your pup tent to OS or someone else coming on the Friday night and I'll pitch it for you so it's in place for Saturday.

My pup tent is ready to go and will pitch in about 3 minutes so it's not a problem.
