Will start of posting breifings etc in here .
First off what roles are you taking ? Who's O/C Allies ?
Im happy to NCO for the germans and will do anything over thast if really required but i was quite looking forward to playing this one!

Ditto, I have yet to play a game...
However as i largely played at BotB I am happy to step in, with it coming up to exams/sats and my final assessment (not to mention finding a new teaching post for next year) it will be debatable howmuch planning and organising time i can put in but i'll do my best.
If you need a german 2ic i'll do it but i dont really have the kit, most my kit will be 1950s post war german DDR and the overall look will be section corporal rather than officer.
I can *do* a staff officer look but i need to find my officers cap, it appears to have gone missing but again my officers unifom is all 1950s DDR (oh and i can no longer fit in my riding boots... they just wont go over my calves now i've put on weight!)

Germans wise I'm happy for Gareth to NCO it , along with Jay if he so desires . We'll also have Stubblehopper and Docktor which should be a plenty strong cadre. Lonewolf (Gregg from Wolves) and Bollogs are also both familiar with the site.
Bear in mind, even more so with CR , that the NCOs will be out in the field commanding pretty much for hours on their own , so main command will be less required, more of a game coordination role .
CW - If your keen not to take 1IC then perhaps we could swap and you could take the role of 2IC instead ? Saves rebadging all the kit .
Which leaves Richard and Steve to fight it out, OC Brit and OC Yank ?
DRWs (if we have any) will be led by Ian and Ed who will also help us with game coordination and pathfinding for the Allies .
Miss anyone out ?
Will-do Guy, that's fine.
I'm cool with that.
I've sorted out the essentials now, im badging my tunic up as an obegefreiter of the brandenburg regiment once i raise the funds to get it.
Guy, Dave, where did you get your tunics form spearhead or sue sue?

Talking ot Ed last night , they've made a new bunker emplecement north of where the V1 will be . We can put the mortars inthere as a secondary objective ot give the Allies something ot attack late Saturday if they get their act togther .
Also I've just personally bought three more water Jerry cans so that should be 10 gallons of water capacity avaialbe at each base. refilling them is a ten minute journey into the village.
So what are your rough objectives.
If it were me i'd have at least three.
Primary: Destroy the V2
Secondary: Steal rocketry plans or photgrpah them
Tertiary: Blow up special experimental rocket fuel OR capture/kill the reknowned Nazi rocketry scientist Mjr. Braun
Summat like that.
Makes the germans have to patrol if the obectivers are a bit apart.
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
I'm assuming there will be objectives for the Germans too!
Protect, guard, patrol one would imagine.
I cant see the germans having too dynamic an objectives seeing as they are a garrison force?
My only ideas for proactive objectives would be:
the allies are using a new type of explosive far more effective than our own, capture samples for analysis.
or
Locate and destory the resistance hideout.
Alwaysa problem when one side is a very definite defender and on home ground.

Yep - although it will be up to the Allies to make the running . Expect Patrol on patrol action during the Saturday and set pitched battle on the Sunday .
Oh FFS. Do I have to be CO again?
Yes - cos the Allies will be shorthanded by the defection of Gadge to the winners ...sorry the Germans .
At a push i can do allies if needed but i really wanted an excuse to get a brandenburger loadout...
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Nah -should be alright .
The Allies will also have the DRWs (site owners) working with them , who know the site backwards and are both ex Paras so are switched on bunnies. They'll have an easy time ....getting lost......
Yes

And of course, because I'm really good at it, right?
