Anybody got any good ideas to keep us amused in the evening? Perhaps we could capture the Allied commander and force him to give us some concert party renditions? I've heard he does a good Marlene Dietrich

I have a mouth organ I can bring, but I can't play it. Accordians, trumpets and violins would also be welcome. :D

I'll bring some playing cards.

Steiner - you think about this stuff way too much. Just chill out, eat, drink, verbally abuse others and listen to tales of outrageous airsofting skill. (aka - Bullshit :) )

i haven't got time to do it before CR, but i was planning on butchering an old 40's looking portable radio to fit an mp3 player inside it, with assorted german songs on it! :D

I have a harmonica (aka mouth organ) but I only know about one pre 1960s tune so once the allied lot get sick of me I'll be only too pleased to come over and irritate you lot too.

You'll have to walk a couple of miles through the woods in the dark to do that....and I'm not sure your CO (me) will be too happy with all this fraternisation!

I can probably supply a song book full of 1940s army songs... there are some VERY dirty songs in there!

Of course this is just for the allies... All I want to hear coming out of the german camp is "The Panzerlied" and "Deutchland Deutchland Uber Ales"

There are three versions that i know of.

The German version, the English version and the English LRDG/SAS version which is a bit more nasty....

AFAIK the german version was actually prefereed by both DAK and 8th Army soldiers.

I imagine the translation would have been top brass not really approving of our lads singing a german tune...

I like kermits idea! but in the interests of realism i think that this idea should be considered!
